People of Colour Events

Would you like to meet with other like-minded people with an interest in radically transforming yourself and the world through open communication, Buddhist ideas, meditation and friendship?

Drop-in to our regular People of Colour meet-ups which happen every second Sunday of the month* from 1 - 4pm here at the Cambridge Buddhist Centre.

Click here to see our upcoming events.

These events are an opportunity to come along for a led meditation and check in with others about your life and see how the spiritual path might offer support. It is a rare chance for people from diverse ethnic backgrounds to come together to build friendships and deepen their spiritual practice in a safe and supportive context. Occasionally, we may have someone giving a talk, an interview or day retreats too. You don't need to be a Buddhist to come along, and we welcome newcomers, so just turn up!

There is no charge for our events, they run on generosity or what is called the dana economy in Buddhism. So, if you would like to make a donation, then you can do so via this link or in person when you attend our events by cash or card.

*Except where there is a festival day which we encourage people from this group to attend.

Who are these events for?

Our People of Colour events are spaces for people who come from diverse backgrounds and who share similar lived experiences. These include the identities of: Black, Indigenous and people of colour, inclusive of Asian, South East Asian, Latinx, Arab / Middle Eastern, biracial, mixed heritage, and multiracial.

Please be aware that none of the classes/events run by the Cambridge Buddhist Centre is aimed at under-18-year-olds. All under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by their parent or another responsible adult over the age of 18 (with their parent's permission). Please contact us in advance of attending at info@cambridgebuddhistcentre.com so we can assess how suitable the event is for the young person and how we can safely enable them to engage in an online class.
