Triratna Earth Sangha; Ethics in Action

A six-week course integrating Buddhist teachings into the climate emergency
A six-week course based on the book, The Burning House; A Buddhist response to the climate and ecological emergency, written by Shantigarbha, which you can buy here.
"How can we act from a base of ethical environmental awareness and action?"
"How can we engage with the world's problems as part of our own spiritual practice?"
This course will help us answer some of the questions that come up for us.
Can we face and engage with the climate and ecological emergency or can this seem like a distraction from our spiritual practice?
The natural world is alive and full of life that resonates with our lives. As humans we bear a greater responsibility than any other species to care for the world. The Buddha was human and his teachings will guide us through this course along with reflection, and discussion provoked by Shantigarbha's book.
This is a course for Buddhists and Eco-activists concerned about the climate and environmental emergency and wishing to ground their work in a spiritual context.
