The Power of Meditation
People care for the natural world when they become aware of it. This means becoming aware of the diversity of animals and plants and the fact that we humans are just another species in the tree of life.
Meditation helps us to gain clarity and develop kindness and our practice of meditation will also have a positive effect on others.
On this day we will have the opportunity to do both. We will meditate together to resource ourselves and to build our own positive emotion and then after a shared lunch we will join the Big Sit, which you can read about here, and meditate in a public space silently.
Programme:
12 noon to 12.45pm - Meditation
12.45pm to 1.30pm - Shared vegan lunch of soup and bread provided. If you have special dietary needs please bring your own.
1.30pm to 2pm - Make our way to the Big Sit. There will be some cushions available but bring what you need to be comfortable.
2pm to 3pm - Meditate in a public space with the Big Sit.
Booking on to this event would help us with catering arrangements but if you are only able to come at the last minute then please do.
