Online Yoga Course - Wednesday with Dhiyampati. Open to all
An online course in Iyengar yoga led by Dhiyampati, Iyengar yoga teacher, held on Zoom.
Iyengar yoga is a traditional form of yoga with a focus on healthy alignment in the postures. The online classes are suitable for anyone. They are physically intense but respectful of each student's abilities. We work progressively, establishing the basics before gradually moving on to more challenging poses over time.
You don’t have to be flexible. There are always ways to adapt the postures to suit the person using props such as blocks, belts or bolsters.
About Dhiyampati
'I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2003 at the Maida Vale Iyengar yoga centre. After 13 years teaching at the Cambridge Buddhist centre and other venues in Cambridge I moved to Barcelona. I continue to stay in touch with friends and students in Cambridge, visiting a couple of times each year and teaching an extended in-person class. It's important to get to in-person classes occasionally if the classes you normally attend are online.'
If you are new to yoga at the Buddhist Centre, please contact the teacher to discuss whether this class is appropriate for you. You can contact Dhiyampati at: dhiyampati1@yahoo.co.uk.
You will need a yoga mat, a yoga belt (or something similar), and a blanket.
Your confirmation email will include all the details you need to attend the class.
Please note: we cannot accept responsibility for injuries incurred during online classes.
Classes classes are recorded, so if you miss a session Dhiyampati can send you the recording. Note that only he will be recorded.
