General Level Yoga: Saturday morning with Jane

Dates:
Saturday 1st Feb 2025 to Saturday 15th Feb 2025 - 9.30am to 11.00am

Start your weekend with Saturday morning yoga – a great way to boost your well-being, increase flexibility, build strength, and relieve stress.

You will be guided by an experienced teacher in a small group (12 people max.). Classes are in our fully equipped bodywork studio – a wonderfully calm and quiet space.

This is a general-level Iyengar yoga course. Some previous yoga experience is recommended.

If you are new to yoga at the Buddhist Centre, please feel free to contact Jane with any questions and to check if this class is right for you: yoga@janedurkin.uk.

If you are coming for the first time, please fill in our Yoga health questionnaire before your class.

What is Iyengar Yoga?

Iyengar yoga is a traditional form of yoga with a focus on body awareness and healthy alignment.

You will work progressively to establish good yoga basics, before gradually moving on to more challenging poses over time.

Classes are generally quite physically active, but the rewards are huge. If you’re not flexible, don’t worry. There are always options for adapting your practice. Please just ask.

Each class will end with a guided relaxation so you can leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and ready to face the day ahead.

What should I bring?

Our bodywork studio has all the equipment needed. Just bring yourself and wear comfortable clothing suitable for a fitness class. Be prepared to practice barefoot.
