From Isolation to Connection: A Journey Through Loving-Kindness Meditation

We all long for moments to sit quietly, close our eyes, and connect with ourselves—but how often do we actually know how to do that? We want to face our fears and challenges with clarity and confidence, yet find ourselves held back.

Loving-Kindness Meditation (Metta) offers a powerful way to transform our perspective—towards ourselves and the world around us. It helps us confront unhelpful patterns with compassion, turning them into opportunities for growth and self-empowerment.

Through meditation, it’s possible to break free from the cycle of isolation, opening ourselves to deeper connection, creativity, and love.

Join us at our upcoming POC event and take a step toward creating positive conditions for yourself and the world.

This event is an opportunity to come along for a led meditation and check in with others about your life and see how the spiritual path might offer support. It is a rare chance for people from diverse ethnic backgrounds to come together to build friendships and deepen their spiritual practise in a safe and supportive context.

Who is this event for?

Our People of Colour events are spaces for people who come from diverse backgrounds and who share similar lived experiences. These include the identities of: Black, Indigenous and people of colour, inclusive of Asian, South East Asian, Latinx, Arab / Middle Eastern, biracial, mixed heritage, and multiracial.

Please be aware that none of the classes/events run by the Cambridge Buddhist Centre is aimed at under-18-year-olds. All under 18-year-olds must be accompanied by their parent or another responsible adult over the age of 18 (with their parent's permission).
