Meditation and Poetry Day

Dates:
Saturday 15th Mar 2025 - 10.00am to 4.00pm

From Groundedness to Spaciousness

This day will explore how we can move towards a more spacious experience in meditation by taking small steps. It will be a predominantly silent day with poems helping us in becoming more grounded, recognising what is happening in experience, allowing that experience to be, investigating changes, moving towards non-identification and finally noticing any sense of spaciousness.

There will be a simple programme of led sitting and walking meditations and contemplations, accompanied by much poetry with a few reflections on the poems and what we can learn from them. There will be breaks for tea and lunch and an opportunity to discuss the day with someone else at the end.

The day is suitable for everyone who knows how to meditate. In addition, it is recommended by Ruchiraketu for people who have done the MBSR course as a way to reinvigorate their practice.
