Imagination and Awakening: A Buddha day for all ages

Join us for a joyful and imaginative celebration of Buddha Day!
Step into a world of wonder as we explore the wisdom of the Buddha through curiosity, creativity, and play. With hearts open like children seeing the world for the first time, we’ll discover that the path to Enlightenment can be a joyful adventure—full of questions, stories, surprises, and delight.
Through meditation, reflection, ritual, and a touch of theatre—whether acting or enacting—we’ll bring the Buddha’s story to life. Together, adults and children alike will celebrate not with solemn silence, but with laughter, imagination, and shared discovery.
Let’s awaken our playful minds and celebrate the Buddha’s Awakening as a living, joyful journey—with the whole of the Sangha, young and old.

You can make a donation in person in the Buddhist Centre foyer, or online via our Donate page.
We run on a Dana Economy. Dana means generosity: we do not charge for our meditation and Buddhism classes and we rely on the generosity of people like you. A donation of just £15 - £20 at a festival day helps us to make these Sangha events open to everyone.
