Buddhist Meditation Retreat
A weekend retreat at Vajrasana Retreat Centre, situated in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, just an hour from Cambridge.
This retreat offers you the chance to step out of your life for a weekend, benefit from the opportunity to reflect on what's valuable in your life, and enjoy the inspiration of a retreat community.
Excellent as a first retreat: if you don't know the practices we teach here at CBC there will be ample guidance. But anyone who's familiar with the practices of Mindfulness of Breathing and Metta Bhavana and who wants to enjoy the context of a community of meditators and simple devotion in beautiful surroundings is very welcome.
The retreat will be held at Vajrasana, which is a bespoke retreat centre situated in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
This retreat is open to newcomers and is an ideal first retreat.
The Retreat
Take the opportunity to connect with the joy and inspiration of a Buddhist retreat community; there is no better way to connect more deeply with the transformational and positive message of the Buddha's teaching.
Dana Economy
This retreat is bookable with a £50 non-refundable deposit. We offer retreatants the opportunity to make an additional donation, which you can do at the checkout. There will also be a dana announcement on the retreat where you can make a donation by card or cash. As a guide, a donation of £100 on top of the booking deposit would cover all the basic costs of us putting on this retreat. If you are able to donate more, then this additional income will help us to continue to run these retreats and support others with limited means to attend our retreats. For more information on our Dana Economy, click HERE.
Retreat details
You will be sent information on what to bring with you when you make your booking, as well as directions to the Retreat Centre and a link to help you to share lifts.
Dietary and medical needs
All meals are vegan; if you have a food allergy or medical condition, please enter the details at the checkout. If you know that you snore, it would also be useful to include this information so that it may be taken into account when allocating rooms. Single rooms are strictly limited and may only be allocated to those with mobility or health issues.
