Description:Ruchiraketu will be leading a three week seminar at Sangha Night on The Deeper Meaning of Mindfulness in the Buddhist Context. 24 April, 1 May and 8 May.
Ruchiraketu was ordained in 1981 and has a huge amount of experience of teaching meditation and Buddhism. He is also a lecturer at Bangor University where he currently teaches on the part-time postgraduate programmes in mindfulness including a module on the Buddhist Background to Mindfulness Based Courses.

Throughout the 80s and 90s, Ruchiraketu focused on leading meditation retreats and on developing Buddhist right-livelihood teamwork in the context of work as a spiritual practice.

From 2000 he chaired the Cambridge Buddhist Centre for twelve years. He currently also teaches secular mindfulness courses at the Centre.

In this seminar he will be bringing together his full experience of the Dharma life with his work in the world of mindfulness teaching and delving deeper into the significance of mindfulness beyond techniques for coping with life.
