Renunciation & Renewal: Non-residential Weekend

Cost:There is no charge for this event. However the Centre does depend on donations and we would be grateful for any donation you can make. A suggested amount would be £30.00 – £50.00.

During this retreat we will be looking at the tradition of making New Year's resolutions, but from the perspective of Spiritual death and Spiritual Rebirth (two aspects of Triratna's system of practice).
We will be exploring these important themes using a combination of talks, workshops, led mediations and rituals in which, we hope, will be a rich and rewarding few days.

Breakfast will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday evening meal will also be provided.

The weekend will begin on Friday evening:
19.00 Introduction with meditation and ritual.
21:00 Finish

Sunday's programme will be from 7:30 until 13:00.

You are requested to bring vegetarian items for a shared lunch.
Please book in advance (we need to know numbers for catering).
NB Bookings are only accepted for the whole weekend.

Important: the diet is vegetarian/vegan, and the recipes are planned and the food is bought in advance. If you have a food allergy or medical condition requiring a special diet, please email us the details on receipt of your booking confirmation. It's best also to check with the organiser when you arrive.

If you need to arrive slightly late or leave before the end, please consult with the retreat leader now.

Retreats are a special event where people enjoy coming together and support one another to practice the Dharma. While every care will be given to all those attending, the Cambridge Buddhist Centre cannot be responsible for the loss of personal possessions, nor look after you appropriately if you fail to disclose important information about your health. If in doubt please consult us now.
