Description:Celebrating the Dr Ambedkar Jayanti, this year marking the 126th anniversary of his birth. Including a talk from Mahamati.
Voted 'the greatest Indian' in a 2012 poll, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was a remarkable politician, actvitist and social reformer. It is his work to end the caste system and in particular its definition of 'untouchability', via his and that of many thousands of his followers to Buddhism, that we most celebrate on this day.

The day will feature a talk by Mahamati, who is the President of Karuna Trust and Secretary to Sangharakshita.
